–A short list of some dos and don’ts
No open burning is allowed in Indiana. You cannot burn yard waste. Burning is bad for your health and others living in our closely developed residential area. It is bad for the ozone layer with ozone alerts common in Northwestern Indiana.
Haul yard waste to the Organic Resource Center,
4340 Trade Drive, South Bend, IN., Phone 287-6841, or contact one of the lawn services to dispose of the debris. One service, Diego Abrajan is happy to pick it up. Diego Abrajan Snowplowing and Landscaping will haul it away. Phone 292-2913.
All mail boxes must be on buried posts. Address numbers on your mailbox are required by the Fire Department and Emergency Services.
3. Dusk to dawn lighting
Check to make sure your coach light is in working order again for emergency personnel.
-All additions including porch, garage, and deck are to be approved by the Architectural Committee.
-No outbuildings including dog houses are allowed.
-Significant changes in the color of a house are to be approved by the Architectural Committee.
All homeowner lot landscaping shall be reasonably maintained at all times.
-No sign of any kind is allowed except for those advertising for sale or rent .
-Political signs can be put in place 30 days before an election, and must be removed 5 days after the election.
-Temporary event signs put up two days before and removed one day after the event.
-Unlicensed or inoperable vehicles are not permitted in the driveway, lot or other open areas of the neighborhood for any period longer than 5 consecutive days.
-No recreational or commercial vehicles (campers, trailers, large trucks, boats, towables, etc.) may be kept in open areas in this subdivision, whether such open areas are on or off the lot of any lot owner for longer than 5 consecutive days.
